Standard FSV stock lenses compromise on optics

With their distinct advantages of lower cost and fast delivery time, finished single vision (FSV) “stock” lenses are globally the most sold ophthalmic lens type. However, FSV lenses have fallen behind in one of the most important features for every spectacle lens wearer: they typically do not provide great optics away from the lens centre. In particular, the demand for flatter and thinner FSV lenses has compromised the peripheral optical performance.

ZEISS BlueGuard Lenses: The next generation of blue light blocking glasses

With previous products like the ZEISS BlueProtect coating, blue light blocking is achieved by applying a coating to blue light filter glasses.
With ZEISS BlueGuard, blue light blocking properties are now an intrinsic part of the chemical make-up of the lens material. In addition to blocking the potentially harmful blue light from the sun, it also filters irritating digital blue light.
